Reverse Engineering using Feature-based and Geometric Constraint-based CAD models.
The aim of this project is to improve current methods for producing reverse engineering solid models using geometric constraints that are applied to the model either automatically, based on the type of application, or through an interactive procedure.

through a PENED 01ED329 research grant.
- To improve the current methods for producing accurate boundary representations by imposing user defined or application related geometric constraints.
- Automatic recognition of 3D constraints that may exist (such as perpendicularity, tangency, symmetry, concentricity etc.) and the creation of Editable Representations.
- To interactively produce a feature-based, constraint-based representation from the Brep model, using user defined constraints and additional user intervention for ambiguous or difficult to approximate Brep configurations.
